There is no registration fee for this Workshop, but attendance will be limited to the first 125 participants returning the above information.

A limited number of travel grants for early career scientists (graduate students or within 3 years of attaining PhD) are available. Please complete the above registration information and additionally 1) submit an abstract and 2) send a brief description of your work and the expected benefit of attending this workshop.

All registration information should be returned to edwards@ucar.edu by 21 December, 2005.

Location and Transportation

The Workshop will be held at the Center Green Auditorium of the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder CO, USA. Boulder is located about 40 km northwest of the city of Denver, at an elevation of 1.6 km above sea level in the scenic foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Boulder is a University community of about 100,000 and is centrally located with respect to many mountain attractions.

Boulder can be reached by plane to the Denver International Airport (DIA) continuing on with convenient bus and shuttle service to Boulder (303-227-0000), about a 45-minute ride.

Special NCAR shuttle transportation will be available between the Boulder Broker Inn and the Workshop venue. Information on local transportation in Boulder, including the scheduled NCAR Shuttle service between the NCAR labs is available
