Nine ACD scientists traveled to Fairbanks, Alaska to join other team members in conducting Arctic Research of the Composition of the Troposphere from Aircraft and Satellites (ARCTAS). Louisa Emmons is part of the forecasting team, assisted by the ACD MOPITT and Global Tropospheric Modeling groups remaining in Boulder; while Andy Weinheimer, David Knapp, Sam Hall, Eric Apel, Alan Hills, Chris Cantrell, Lee Mauldin, and Becky Anderson are making measurements on the NASA DC-8. They will monitor their instruments in Alaska while the Arctas field campaign is underway.
