Mary Barth received an NCAR Special Recognition Award for her work in establishing and leading the NCAR Early Career Scientist Assembly.

John Gille is a Fellow of the American Meteorological Society.

Andrew Gettelman received the Journal of the Atmospheric Sciences Editor’s Award for 2003.

William Randel was the co-recipient of the World Meteorological Organization Norbert Gerbier Outstanding Publication Award in 2002.

Brian Ridley was elected a Fellow of the American Geophysical Union.

Brian Ridley, Andrew Weinheimer, David Knapp, Denise Montzka and Frank Grahek received the NASA Group Achievement Award to a Cirrus Regional Study of Tropical Anvils and Cirrus Layers-Florida Area Cirrus Experiment (CRYSTAL-FACE) Science Team.
